Fields in the respondent template
When sending out via Excel upload in app.nps.today, you need to use our standard import template which you can download on our platform.
The template includes 4 types of fields (respondent, responsible, company and custom) This guide will explain the field types and use cases for each. You will also find explanations of how the different fields behave, meaning if they are used for historic data or dynamic data.
Respondent fields - standard (partially obligatory)
Note: only obligatory fields are respondent_email or respondent_phonenumber (depending on your survey being sent on e-mail or SMS)
• Respondent_email / respondent_phonenumber: Here you add e-mail/phone number of your respondent, depending on you survey.
• Respondent_firstname / respondent_lastname: add the names of respondents.
• All other fields can be used for data you want attached to respondents. If the relevant header to your data does not exist, you can still insert your data to the header most relevant.
Example of filling out respondent fields

Company fields - standard (optional)
You can add a company related to respondents. This enables you to view NPS feedback on company/account level and add corresponding metadata such as company segment, industry etc.

Responsible fields - standard (optional)
Add responsible employees to respondents. All you need in the import template is the email of the employee. Additional data (first name, title etc. is optional). This field is often relevant in B2B scenarios, and enables you to get an NPS score and customer satisfaction related to a specific employee.
