Mandatory SMS Sender ID Registration in Ireland

Ireland has introduced a mandatory registration requirement for all SMS senders.

Note: relevant only for customers sending SMS surveys to Irish phone numbers.

Starting July 2025, any SMS sent from an unregistered sender ID will be automatically marked as “Likely Scam.”
From October 2025, unregistered sender IDs will be blocked entirely.

To avoid disruptions, all clients must register their sender ID through the official ComReg platform.
